Efekty uczenia się:

Upon completion of this module students:

LO1: demonstrate a sound knowledge and a critical understanding of research design and methods

LO2: apply that knowledge to the development of a research proposal and plan

LO3: communicate their critical understanding of research design and methods in a clear and concise way through a series of assignments and participation in seminars

LO4: can conduct their own research and present its findings in the form of a BA dissertation

Metody i kryteria oceniania:

2 ECTS - class participation, thesis outline and completion of the first chapter of the thesis.

Zakres tematów:

The aim of the Seminar is to teach students how to conduct their own research and subsequently how to prepare and complete a BA dissertation in International Relations. The course utilizes various methods in social science research both qualitative and quantitive, and literature surveys. Students learn how to formulate research questions and objectives, how to select primary and secondary sources, chose relevant methodology of their research and finally how to present their own analysis and findings of their research in the written form.

Metody dydaktyczne:

Class discussion, presentation of own research, text analysis.
