Efekty kształcenia: | (tylko po angielsku) After completing the course, the student: In terms of knowledge, knows and understands - current guidelines for advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation for adults and children; - principles of assessment, recognition and treatment of life-threatening conditions in children (shock, respiratory failure) - principles of assessment, recognition and treatment of life-threatening conditions related to trauma - ABCDE assessment system and SAMPLE medical history taking In terms of skills is able to: - perform advanced life support procedures, use Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and manual defibrillator, use proper medication depending on patient condition. - perform good ventilation using self-inflating bag and mask - secure airways using supraglottic airway devices - help patients in life-threatening conditions related to trauma - help paediatric patients in life-threatening conditions (shock, respiratory failure) - perform ABCDE assessment and SAMPLE medical history taking In terms of social competence - Has the ability and the habit of self-training - Responsibly preparing to take care activities - Work in the group, taking responsibility for the timely and accurate execution of the tasks assigned - Comply with the ethical standards of professional activities - Is able to teach others |

Forma i warunki zaliczenia: | (tylko po angielsku) Assessment of module is subject to the following conditions: - Attendance - one (5h) justified absence is possible. Absence during ACLS course is not allowed. - Preparation and active participation in classes - Positive completion of final exam: - practical exam (trauma team) to pass a practical clinical examination is required to successfully complete the simulated scenario and achieve at least borderline score in all scored elements - ACLS exam (written test – 84% to pass – and practice scenario exam) |
