Cele kształcenia:

1. Getting to know the organizational structure and tasks

emergency departments (SOR)


2. Acquaintance with work in emergency and trauma centers


3. Getting to know the patient's assessment according to the ABCDE scheme


4. Acquaintance with the initial treatment of a patient in a life-threatening condition


5. Acquaintance with the role of leader, manager and team of trauma team and consultant


6. Familiarization with medical information in the system emergency medical services - mobile computing, teleinformatics and telemedicine, electronic medical records in emergency department

Efekty kształcenia:

After completing the course the student:


- discusses the principles of organizing emergency medical services at pre-hospital stages


and hospital


- knows and understands the principles of functioning of the emergency medical system


- knows and understands the causes, symptoms, principles of diagnosis and procedure


therapeutic in a patient in a life-threatening condition


- knows and understands the principles of trauma team organization


- knows and understands the principles of initial diagnostics and initial stabilization of the patient



- knows and understands how to assess the victim according to the ABCDE scheme


- knows and understands the collection of medical history


- knows and understands the principles of primary and secondary segregation


- knows and understands the principles of creating medical records


- knows and understands the role of individual members of the trauma team


- knows and understands the rules for using specialist consultations


- knows and understands the principles of cooperation with emergency medical teams


And:


- organizes the work of the medical team


- conducts a medical history with the patient


- conducts a physical examination of the patient


- assesses the general condition, the state of consciousness and awareness of the patient, efficiency circulatory and respiratory


- performs initial medical segregation


- conducts medical segregation according to the system in force in a given department


- can pre-assess the victim's condition according to the ABCDE scheme and collect basic medical history


- can help the victim in shock and in life-threatening situations related to injury


- assists in: respiratory protection, drainage of the pleural cavity, puncture of the sac pericardial, puncture of the peritoneal cavity, transfusion of blood and blood products


- can keep a patient's medical records, including records electronic

Wymagania wstępne:

The student is able to correctly assess the victim according to the ABCDE scheme, perform a full patient examination, collect an interview, measure blood pressure, get intravascular access, interpret basic laboratory tests, X-ray images

Forma i warunki zaliczenia:

Attendance at clinical classes. One excused absence from class is possible trials.


Oral exam on the end of classes.
