Skrócony opis: |
Preprocessing of EEG signal (referencing, filtering, artifact rejection methods), frequency analysis, evoked potential analysis. EEGLAB software will be used after the introduction to the Matlab environment. |

KNOWLEDGE The student: • knows and understands the foundations of EEG signal generation • knows and understands the principles of experimental design related to EEG measurement • knows and understands the principles of most common methods of EEG signal processing • knows and understands the principles of scripting the data analysis pipeline SKILLS The student: • is able to preprocess and analyse EEG data using frequency and evoked potential methods • is able to use EEGLAB to fulfil crucial data analysis objectives • is able to write scripts in Matlab to streamline basic data processing steps SOCIAL COMPETENCES The student: • is able to collaborate with peers on a scientific project related to brain signal processing • is able to create novel solutions to problems encountered during data analysis • is ready for constant updating his knowledge in connection with the latest achievements in sciences |
Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
An exam with unassessed processing of sample EEG data. Criteria: • GUI based analysis with group analysis - 3.0; • additional scripting of a single subject (incl. recoding time markers) with group analysis - 4.0; • successful development of the automatic Matlab pipeline for processing multiple subjects - 5.0 |
