Efekty kształcenia: | Knowledge Knowledge of practical aspects of the research synthesis using systematic methods, from formulation the aims, through a protocol of search and its implementation to graphical analysis of results and reporting. Skills A doctoral student is able to formulate aim of the synthesis, to prepare and implement a plan of systematic literature study. He/she can interpret their own results. PhD students is able to prepare a research report in accordance with the standards of a scientific publication. Attitudes PhD student actively seeks ways to solve research problems. He/she develops a sense of responsibility for the work of the group. A PhD student reviews research reports in a professional way and recognizes the value of constructive criticism. |

Metody sprawdzania i kryteria oceny efektów kształcenia uzyskanych przez studentów: | The evaluation is based on the degree of involvement of participants in the course, formal and substantive correctness and punctuality of the prepared report and reviews. |

Metody dydaktyczne: | Doctoral students work in small teams in which they conduct research projects based on their own ideas. Each stage of the study is discussed by all participants. The role of the instructor is to coordinate activities, stimulate discussion, give advice and choose the reviewers among the course classmates’ and from outside. |

Active training based on the own ideas of the doctoral students in the field of evolutionary biology, ecology and environmental biology. The course is devoted to practical aspects of conducting systematic search of literature on the selected topic: - Formulating aims; - Planning of systematic search; - Performing the search and analyzing results; - Writing the report in accordance with the standards of scientific publication; - Writing a review in accordance with standards of peer-review of the manuscript; - Presenting results. |
