Skrócony opis: |
The course delivers information about the structure and physiology of plant cells in the context of their organization in plant tissues. It also presents cell-to-cell communications, their developmental changes as well as responses to microorganisms, other plants and animals. The structure and function of plants is required to understand plant interactions to biotic and abiotic stresses, and their influence on plant resilience and growth performance. |

Pełny opis: |
In this course we want to deliver information about the structure and physiology of plant cells and relate them to plants’ organization and their reactions to other organisms as well as to developmental changes and to biotic and abiotic stress. Understanding of structure and function of plants is needed to understand plant interactions with other plants, animals, microbes and biotic and abiotic stresses and to influence plants for improved resilience and growth performance. Therefore we must understand cells, the basis of every living organism; organisms may consist of just one cell, or they are constructed from a consortium of cells with very diverse structure and function. The course will relate plant performance to fundamentals of their cells. |
