In the frame of knowledge:

- can name skin changes according to dermatological semiotics

- shows diagnostic methods used in dermatology and explains their use

- shows diagnostic methods used in Venereology and explains their use

- can list and describes allergic skin diseases

- can list and describes autoimmune skin diseases

- can list and describes neoplastic skin diseases

- can lIst and describes bacterial skin diseases

- can list and describes viral skin diseases

- can list and describes fungal skin diseases

- can list and describes erythematous skin diseases

- can list and describes inflammatory skin diseases

- can list and describes sexually transmitted diseases

- can list and describes the proliferative diseases of the skin

- can describes basics of phototherapy

- can describes basics of cryotherapy

- can describes basics of electrocautery

in the frame of skills student can:

- carry out the dermatological interview with empathy

- interpret the results of medical examination in the context of a medical interview and clinical changes

- interpret the results of serological tests

- plan patient management within the clinic and unit of a hospital

- communicate with a patient and his family

- conduct medical documentation

- to write a prescription, a referral

- assist in perform a skin biopsy

- perform a dermatoscopy research

- perform a cryotherapy treatment

- perform an electrocoagulation treatment

- perform a phototest

- collect material for mycological research

in terms of social competence:

- shows respect for a patient and concern for his welfare

- complies with his actions ethics

- respect the patient's rights

- complies with data protection and privacy

- can search for and critically analysis data from the literature (including in English language)

- demonstrate problem-solving skills

- is able to self-assessment and recognize the limits of their own competence

Wymagania wstępne:

(tylko po angielsku) Knowledge of the physiology and histopathology the skin

Knowledge of the basics of immunology

Knowledge of the pharmacology

Knowledge of the documents needed to establish the history of the disease and ambulatory cards

The ability to collect an interview with a patient

The ability to physical examination of the patient

The ability to search in a variety of source materials and their interpretation


Forma i warunki zaliczenia:

(tylko po angielsku) 1. Shaping exam:

- short structured answers

- oral response

2. Summary exam

in the frame of knowledge:

- multiple choice questions- provided credit is to get 70% correct answers


in the frame of skills:

- observation of the student performing collection of intelligence and physical examination of the patient

- observation of the student performing cryotherapy procedure

- observation of the student performing electrocautery procedure

- observation of the student performing dermatoscopy

- practical exam


in the frame of social competence:

- observation of the student’s behavior during classes


Metody sprawdzania i kryteria oceny efektów kształcenia uzyskanych przez studentów:

(tylko po angielsku) To complete the module the following requirements must be met


- attendance (with a maximum 3 excused absences)

- activity in classes

- obtain at least 70% of the final examination testing knowledge

- to the final assessment can be add 15% from each shaping test, in which the student has achieved the result equal to or higher than the arithmetic mean

- pass a practical test, i.e. obtain at least 6 points out of 10 possible

- - additional assessment of student’s attitudes and behaviors may constitute 5% of the overall assessment
