2. Understanding of different modes of transportation and related industries as they may impact security

3. Comprehend emergency management and response concepts, phases, and procedures across a range of homeland security challenges.

1. Outline the primary agencies and ministries responsible for border and transportation security and the operational and ethical parameters in which they function

2. Evaluate environmental conditions that have the potential to destabilize the national economy, governmental infrastructure, and resources of the nation.

1. Compare and contrast private sector and governmental responsibilities related to critical infrastructure identification and protection

2. Understand human security aspects in control and management of border security issues

Metody dydaktyczne:

(tylko po angielsku) Based on the classic seminar format, the course involves a critical discussion of Required Readings and core issues introduced by the course instructor.

The course offers an opportunity to comprehend the strategic, political, and economic importance of national borders. It exposes the students to various risks and threats in terms of crime and terrorism and the need for cooperative against competitive management of borders. Specific issues covered in this course are Aviation, Maritime, Ports, and Refugees.
