| Cele kształcenia: | (tylko po angielsku) The course aims at introducing students to the major contemporary European political thinkers. The course will combine thematic presentation of basic currents and problems of political theory (e.g. democratic theory, liberalism, conservatism, critical theory) with focus on representative thinkers. The thinkers presented are selected not solely on their belonging to the cotemporary world but also based on the topicality and relevance of their thinking. |

| Efekty kształcenia: | (tylko po angielsku) LO1: Student knows and understands in depth the most important contemporary European political theories explaining political reality in general, and international politics in particular LO2: Student can interpret phenomena in the field of international relations and global politics; can form and express personal views and account for the advanced processes in the said field using acquired knowledge of political theory LO3: Student can think critically on contemporary global issues, especially on the modern civilizational challenges concerning intercultural relations, globalization and the influence of new technologies on social life LO4: Student has team management and leadership skills, can engage in interdisciplinary research or teamwork LO5: Graduate can prepare both individually or in cooperation with others the written reports, can prepare talks or PP presentations using acquired knowledge in political theory LO6: Graduate is ready to participate in the work benefiting his/her own political community and global community that requires knowledge of conflict solution, cooperation and institutional framework |
