| Efekty kształcenia: | Learning outcomes of a component Knowledge – the student knows and understands: • the main concepts around corporations in the global system, • the complexity and international determinants of the field, • the legal background around compliance and responsibility, Skills – the student can: • demonstrate a critical knowledge of the main issues and challenges and build upon it in its research, analysis. • conduct case-studies, link it to the literature and deducts a rigorous analysis. The student takes the context into account in its analysis. It includes: • geopolitical differences, culture, resources – natural, workforce, etc -, historical background, past conflicts, and so on. • Doing so leads to a deeper understanding of the topic as well as auto-critic skills. |

Transnational corporations have shaped globalization and the economy as we know it. They are sometimes considered as the necessary evils of moderns societies considering the economic, environmental, ethical downsides triggered by their activities while remaining necessary and central to today’s world’s organization. This class aims at providing legal, economic, social and ethical analysis on corporate activities, trends, and market impacts. This course would explore how those actors interact with governments, institutions, societies, and other stakeholders or groups on a global scale. |

Presentation of the learning goals and expectations. Session 2 – Multinational corporations.
