  • roczny wymiar godzinowy nakładu pracy studenta konieczny do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się dla danego etapu studiów wynosi 1500-1800 h, co odpowiada 60 ECTS;
  • tygodniowy wymiar godzinowy nakładu pracy studenta wynosi 45 h;
  • 1 punkt ECTS odpowiada 25-30 godzinom pracy studenta potrzebnej do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się;
  • tygodniowy nakład pracy studenta konieczny do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się pozwala uzyskać 1,5 ECTS;
  • nakład pracy potrzebny do zaliczenia przedmiotu, któremu przypisano 3 ECTS, stanowi 10% semestralnego obciążenia studenta.

Efekty kształcenia:

(tylko po angielsku) Learning outcomes of a component At the end of the course student will be able:

- To understand the purpose and meaning of international scientific and technological collaboration;

- To understand main terms concerning international scientific collaboration;

- To be able to use qualitative and quantitative tools for monitoring international scientific and technological collaboration;

- To be able to evaluate best practices in the field of science and technology cooperation activities and objectives (whether ongoing or planned) of the various partners;

- To critically analyse main tendences in the field of international stientific and technological cooperation;


Forma i warunki zaliczenia:

(tylko po angielsku) Attendance is required (max 2 -3 absences), class activity during workshop exercises and presentations (40% of the grade), and final exam (60%)

Metody dydaktyczne:

(tylko po angielsku) Mixed teaching techniques will be applied. The conceptual knowledge will be applied but students are expected to engage and contribute to the discussion and tasks performances, both individual and in the teams.

Study of books and other resources, preparation for classes, assignments – 40 h

Preparation for a graded assessment – 30 h

Skrócony opis:

The course is dedicated to key aspects of science internationalization. It aims to acquaint students with basics of international scientific and technical collaboration, in particular how it contributes to inclusive and sustainable development, innovative growth. The role of International Organizations for science Diplomacy: UNESCO. Particular attention will be paid to the main European and International Actors and Projects in the field of science and technology cooperation.

Content of a module (with division into forms of courses completion) First part is dedicated to history and main milestones in the international scientific and technological cooperation. Explains terminology, Institutional framework, gives isight about advantages and disadvantages of International Scientific collaboration. The role of International Scientific Cooperation in Diplomacy, case studies of International scientific collaboration for small and big states. The importance of International Scientific cooperation for achieving Agenda 2030. Case studies from EU.

Second part explores further how to measure the Phenomenon of international cooperation (collaborative data, methodological issues, internationalisation ) It explores further global scientific networks, patterns of international collaborations and research performance. International Scientific and technical cooperation and rivalry in space. The role of European Union on the global arena of International scientific and technical cooperation, European Research Area. Main EU projects: Horizon projects, European cooperation in science and technology (COST).

Third part focuses on the policies in the field of International Scientific cooperation, the role of international organisations and think thanks.

UNESCO’s role in the Internationalisation of science.

It explores further cases of the International cooperation from USA, Europe and China. Tools for International Scientific collaborative policies. How to make international scientific and technical cooperation more smart and innovative.
