Cele kształcenia: | The course will discuss the current processes of development of the European national and post-national identities, as well as that of civil society. The key concept of citizenship will be discussed from four different prisms that would constitute important frames of analysis: (1) citizenship as social competence, (2) citizenship as participation, (3) citizenship as dialogue, (4) citizenship and values. The main emphasis will be put on the relation between citizenship and identity. During the course we will discuss the processes of construction of collective identity on different levels: local, regional, national, and European. Particular attention will be given to the process of decomposition of traditional identities and construction of new types of late modern/postmodern identifications, transgressing boundaries and re-negotiating frames of reference. |
