Efekty kształcenia: | (tylko po angielsku) K_W11: has deepened knowledge about the institutional architecture of European security, EU more specifically K_W12: has advanced knowledge about the framework and functioning of common EU policies - CFSP and ESDP - and their influence on the role and positioning of the European Union in the system of international relations. K_U03: has enhanced research skills which include formulating and analyzing research problems, choosing appropriate research methods and techniques, presenting and disseminating the results of research which allows to resolve problems in the field of European Studies K_K01: is aware of the level of his or her own knowledge and skills, understands the need for longlife learning in terms of professional and personal development, can determine the directions of his or her own professional and personal development. |

Metody sprawdzania i kryteria oceny efektów kształcenia uzyskanych przez studentów: | (tylko po angielsku) Evaluation will be done upon quality of presentations and contribution to seminar discussions.Each session is divided into introductory remarks (state-of the-art of a given problem), students’ oral presentations (case study analysis) and open discussion based on assigned readings. |

Metody dydaktyczne: | (tylko po angielsku) Each problem discussed during the seminar constitutes a separate module, which will be discussed on an interactive basis. Each module consists of introductiory remarks, which will address a scope and meaning of the problem and oral presentations of the students related to the main questions to be analysed (three/four 15 minutes presentations in each module), and finally, an open discussion. |

(tylko po angielsku) Te aim of this seminar is to develop analytical ability to understand and explain complex nature of contemporary challenges to European security. More specifically, an emphasis will be given to post-Cold War European security environment - its actors, and institutions facing military and non-military threats. |
