Cele kształcenia: | (tylko po angielsku) The main of the course is to introduce students with the most important concepts, approaches and methods used in the field of conflict studies. The course will include sessions covering the theoretical and practical aspects of the conflict phenomenon and include analysis of selected case studies. |

Efekty kształcenia: | (tylko po angielsku) LO_1 - A foundation knowledge of the status of conflict studies in the field of political science, and its connections with other disciplines as regards subject and methodology; LO_2 - Knowledge of the basic theories connected to conflict studies, and a well-ordered knowledge of the actors, developments and processes LO_3 - A foundation knowledge of the terminology pertaining to conflict studies LO_4 - A foundation knowledge of the international conflicts taking place in modern Europe |

Forma i warunki zaliczenia: | (tylko po angielsku) Class participation (prerequisite) 1. Students are expected to actively participate in the classes. Attendance is mandatory. Missing more than 50% of the classes will result in failure of the course and the need to retake it the following year. 2. Students missing more than 2 classes will have to make them up by writing a paper per each class missed. The papers and corresponding topics assigned by the course tutor, will cover at least 2,000 words each (including footnotes and bibliography). 3. Students are expected to read key readings assigned for each session. During the semester tutors might decide to conduct a short test/quiz to check the knowledge of the readings. |

Metody dydaktyczne: | (tylko po angielsku) During the seminars each of the problems will be discussed on an interactive basis. Furthermore, each session will address a scope of the particular problem based on an analysis of the text students were asked to read, followed by the discussion with students. The chosen sessions might take form of an expanded online lesson. |
