Cele kształcenia: | (tylko po angielsku) To provide information about the concept of cultural awareness and related ideas and concepts such as: cultural complexities, cultural identities, stereotypes, prejudice, discrimination, acculturation, integration, immigration, cross-cultural communication and intercultural interactions. To present dominant thereotical perspectives related to cultural determinants of political behaviour. |

Forma i warunki zaliczenia: | (tylko po angielsku) Assessment: 80% Class participation: 20% Participation in the course is obligatory. One absence is allowed without any formal consequences. Students are expected to get familiar with the readings prior to the class and submit their feedback via pegaz before the class |

(tylko po angielsku) The course in cultural awareness will introduce students to the meaning and significance of culture in international relations. The students will discuss the following topics: cultural awareness and the concept of culture, the challenges connected with the cultural pluralism, stereotypes and prejudice, politics of identity, and cultural determinants of political behaviour. Thanks to the participation in the course students will gain understanding of the role that cultural identities play in the context of international security and development processes, will be able to communicate in cross-cultural context and suggest solutions based on knowledge about cultural complexities |
