Zakres tematów: |
Biophysics Department: 1 – The mouse as an experimental animal. The rules of the animal house. Animal welfare. Animal handling, gender recognition, behavioural observations. 2 – Tagging animals in the experiment. Intragastric, intraperitoneal, intravenous, subcutaneous and intramuscular injections. 3 – Tail vain injections. Methods of blood collection. Methods of euthanasia. Section of a mouse and anatomical analysis. Transport of laboratory animals. 4 – Mice shaving and depilation. Anaesthesia and analgesia. Health monitoring. 5 – Monitoring of the experiment (vital signs, behavioural cages, metabolic cages, imaging, etc.). Urine collection. Blood collection from the heart. Section of the mouse; organs and tissues collection. Histological preparation (tissues preparation steps, paraffin and frozen method of fixation, presentation of histological slides). 6 - Lymph nodes mapping in the mouse. Animal models used in the experiments. Special strains of laboratory animals (nude, SCID, transgenic animals). Improvement of previously known techniques. Department of General Biochemistry: 7 - Genotyping of transgenic mice 8 - Bone marrow derived cells - isolation and culture 9 - Culture of peritoneal macrophages 10 - Culture of primary keratynocytes and fibroblasts 11 - Preparation of single cell suspention from different murine organs |

Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
The final evaluation is the result of the sum of points obtained during participation in the course and final test; Evaluation: Active participation in the course (40pkt.) Execution of tasks on e-learning platform (20pkt.) Written tests (40pkt.) For a positive evaluation is necessary to obtain points from each of the above and participate in 12 from 13 classes. Biophysics Department (50 points): 4 points - LABOLATORY NOTEBOOK and ANIMAL OBSERVATION CART 16 points - E-Learning (Pegaz platform): Materials and protocols, Tasks (Experimental proposal, Cages enrichment, Ethical mind map, Law questions, Analysis of hairs regrowth after depilation and shaving) 20 points - EXAM 50 p. – General Biochemistry Department: 20 p. - Attendance and laboratory notebook 10 p. - Tasks |
